If any UK government department mentions the words:- green, environment, carbon gas emissions, etc, etc, you can be sure before the end of the sentence arrives you’ll also find the word- TAX.

As recently as last month the UK government announced plans to increase taxes for motorists so drastically as to put the future of driving cars in jeopardy for most people, these taxes are to be raised as a method of contribution to a Green Tax Levy amounting to £150bn over the next 10 years.

One factor that never seems to be considered by the people who think up these measures is how will their decisions affect people who live out in the country. Practically everyone who lives in the country are on lesser incomes than their city dwelling counterparts and cannot rely on a good public transport system, how then are they going to conduct their lives with no travel.

A survey reveals very clearly that transport lags behind both industry and buildings in global energy usage yet is always seen as the cash cow when tax revenues are required to be topped up.

How long will it be before our Chancellor of the Exchequer makes a statement, as he did on the recent increase in Flight Taxes, that these motoring tax increases are just a revenue raising exercise and nothing to do with environment issues.

Of far greater importance to the well being of our planet is the absolutely enormous damage being carried out in the Amazon Rainforest, and not to be forgotten, other regions including Indonesia, where logging will have cleared all rainforests in 10 years and in Papua New Guinea in 13-16 years.

All this deforestation, a great amount of which is illegal, is to provide land for agriculture and crops, some of these crops are for the production of bio-fuels for our cars. Can anyone see the sense in that, clearing rainforests which absorb carbon gas emissions to plant crops for the production of further fuels, ok perhaps slightly less polluting fuels.

What we have not heard a lot of information about is where these crops and products end up; answer- BRITISH SUPERMARKETS.

There is a clear case to answer here, if British supermarkets are buying cheap products (which these products would have to be for the supermarkets to be interested in) then they are not only profiting from illegal activity and having supported indirectly the logging and deforestation but they should be making a corresponding contribution to green taxation.

Bill is now retired but has always enjoyed travelling, which included driving on all continents of the world. He also has a very keen interest in all environment issues. He started his first website last year and is about to launch a more comprehensive motoring site www.thecarhub.net

Wind power information and history dates back since 1000 B.C. – 1300 A.D. where the first and the earliest known use of it can be seen in work principles of a sail boat in which influenced the further development of sail-type windmills. The Persians developed the first windmills sometimes in the seventh century for irrigation pumping and grain-grinding although no official documentation available supporting this statement. These windmills developed by The Persians were using the vertical axis system, the same system used for windmills in China.

They claimed that windmills actually invented in China more than 2000 years ago, but unlike the Persians, a Chinese statesman Yehlu Chuu-Tshai have the early documentation of a Chinese windmills in 1219. The evolution of the Persian windmill fly across to Europe, where the first windmills to appear there were differ from the ones in Persia and China as they use horizontal-axis configuration. These European windmills believed to be more advanced in structure and function where they consisted of blades and rotors clasped together by a tower, which was mounted upon a post, otherwise known as a post mill.

Further developments were made as in 1888 an American; Charles F. Brush produced electricity using wind-powered machines which energize his home and laboratory until the early 1900’s. In 1979 the new age of wind power industry began where wind turbines were made in Denmark with the capacity of 20-30 kW each and progress were made since and the production has gone worldwide.

We can use the wind’s energy thanks to the invention of wind turbines, which operates simply like this: the wind turns the blades, and the blades shall spin a shaft which connects to a generator and of course like we all know the generator produces electricity.

Wind is an inexhaustible source and renewable source of energy, unlike the widely used energy these days: oil. As addition, wind power is not harmful to the environment and it’s decentralized, so even small groups can own and manage their own fields. One can use wind power conjunct with the existing methods which means you can have your home to be supplied with electricity from the local company and from your wind turbine.

If you have the chance to go to a Southeast Asia country called Indonesia which is widely known for its ‘island of gods’ Bali, the use of wind power also applied there as well, although the average wind speed in Indonesia is below 5.9 m/s but it doesn’t mean it’s useless. In 2007 five unit of wind turbines established in Selayar Island (3 units), North Celebes (2 units), and one unit each for Nusa Penida, Bali and Bangka Belitong following 5 others with the power of 80 kW.

Indonesia has mapped some potential areas which have wind speed 5 m/s, such as East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, South Celebes and South Coast of Java. After knowing the brief history about wind power, and its superb potential power even for less potential wind country like Indonesia we can see how wind power can rapidly developed in the future.

Since I have been advertising on the net I have noticed one thing, the majority of the marketeers are handling too many e-books.

This country was built on manufacturing. Products were made and sold and worked. These products made money for the manufactures and put people to work. New technologies developed new products and opened up more manufacturing and created more jobs.

Then thru mistakes made by the government and business themselves our manufacturing and jobs declined. Today we have very little manufacturing and mostly are service oriented. Lately our service has been given to India, Indonesia, Maylasia, and elseware. We are fast becoming a third world nation.

So, how do you and I turn this bad situation around. There really is only one way. As a marketeer you have to handle as many lines that produce real usable products as e-info books. I have six (6) lines that I market 3 are actual products and 3 are e-info type books. We all need to start pushing products rather than paper. One thing that marketeers can do is to help me push the greenpowergas additive. First it works, second we are putting Americans back to work. So join me in creating jobs for American Workers and putting a lot of money in your pocket. Send me a message at greenpowergas on twitter and I will explaing the entire program to you. Everyone have the best evening that you can.

Sincerely,

Larry Van Leuven
